Davy's Manchester - A Tour
When he was growing up, Davy and his three sisters (Hazel, Beryl and Lynda) and Mum and Dad lived in a two-up, two-down, terraced house at 20 Leamington Street, Higher Openshaw, Manchester. 'Leamington Street' was demolished sometime in the late 1960s/early 1970s - here's a photo (taken in 2005) of where it used to be - from what I can make out Davy's house used to be on the right of the photo, where the grassed area is.

Just down the street is the Church Hall, which is the first place that Davy Jones gave a public performance, in his school plays.

A couple of streets away is Davy's old school 'Varna St School', which is still a school today (Davy made a private visit back to the school in 2002).
