Hello, 

I just wanted to write about meeting Davy last year when he performed here in San Diego.  It happened after the show when a small group of us were standing around waiting to see if he was going to come out to our area.  I spotted a lady who works for the symphony and I asked her if he was going greet his fans she said she didn't know and that they were waiting to hear.  I told her can you please tell him that threes not too many of us here and that I have waited 42 years to meet him?  She then walked away and was talking to someone Thur the headset she had on.  I was then speaking to another lady when she came back and asked me if I could stand at this one spot so I said OK.  This gentleman approached me and said Are You Ready? and I said ready for what? He then informed me that he was taking me backstage to meet him.  I said You must be joking really?  He said no so away we went.  

While we were walking, I could hear him telling someone Thur his headpiece where we were when we got to the gate a lady met us and I took one step then stopped and I said to the lady are you sure this is OK?  I don't want him to get mad or anything she then replied, he's waiting for you.I then looked at the gentleman and said let's not keep Mr. Jones waiting.  I rounded the corner and he came out.  I was speechless, he signed a photo for a friend of mine, my magazine, and he saw that I had a bag and he said what else do you have then he signed my program.  After that he gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek.  Shortly afterward he left.  

I didn't get my photo taken with him because I could tell he was tired and wanted to go and I didn't want to hold him up and he was so kind and sweet.  This June, my friend and I will be attending his show in Laughlin, Nevada.  I didn't think I would see him that soon again maybe this time, I can have my photo taken with him.  Hope so.
