21/12/09 Monkees were featured in a show on BBC Radio 4 this week, called 'Here They Come', which included an interview with Davy - the interview can be heard here - but it will only be online for about a week.  Thanks to Kirk White for the info.

Davy's fellow Monkee, Micky Dolenz, will have a new solo album out soon - it will be a Carol King tribute album entitled 'King for a Day', and will be released on Gigatone records in the Summer in the US - thanks to Kirk White for the info.

15/03/09  I was saddened to read the news that Peter Tork is at the moment suffering from a rare form of cancer.  Thankfully the outlook sounds positive, and I wish him all the best - you can read a news report about it here and also here.

Davy took part in the charity golf event "The Classic" in Florida at the end of January.  You can read a write up about the event and there's also a short video featuring Davy here.

08/02/09  The UK Biography channel will be repeating it's one hour biography on Davy today between 3pm and 4pm.  This biography was first shown in mid-January, and it is a very enjoyable view on Davy's professional and personal life past and present.  The show is probably going to be repeated quite a lot over the coming months, so I will put future re-screening dates here when I find out about them.

20/12/08  Davy was interviewed on UK radio today - Dermot O'Leary's show on Radio 2, and they played the new single 'It's Christmas'.  You can hear the show for the next 7 days on the BBC iplayer site here - the interview happens 2 hrs 20 mins into the show.  If you would like to hear the interview, but it is no longer available then e-mail me.

19/12/08  DAVY RELEASES NEW CHRISTMAS SINGLE - 'It's Christmas' see here for details - many thanks to Paul Clark.  A song clip is available at www.formative.tv on the Multimedia page.

15/12/08  There will be a NEW one hour biography show all about Davy screened in the UK January 2009.  It will be on the UK Biography Channel (available on Sky TV) on the following dates and times: 14th January 2009 9 pm - 10 pm, 15th January 2009 9 am - 10 am, 15th January 2009 2 pm -  3 pm.  This biography was shown in the US a couple of months ago, and received some very positive feedback.    

4/12/08  On Monday 1st December Davy was on UK TV - he featured as one of the interviewees on the Channel Five programme 'Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll - The 60s Revealed".  It showed a never before seen interview with him in the late 60s, then he was filmed watching the interview (present day), giving his comments - one of them being that he felt he was watching "the son he never had".  Other 60s icons like Lulu, Tom Jones and Cilla Black were also interviewed.  You can read more about the show here.

29/11/08  On 12th November, Davy and Peter Tork attended a screening of the Monkees movie 'Head' at the Egyptian Theater, Hollywood Boulevard, to mark the 40th anniversary of its release, and they did a question and answer session afterwards.  See here for details.

Davy has a new message on his website, under 'Keeping up with the Joness' and also a video clip on the frontpage.

3/11/08  The movie 'Daydream Believers - The Monkees Story' is being shown on Sky Movies Drama during Nov - Dec.  You can catch it on the following dates/times: 6/11/08 10.00 am - 11.29 am, 14/12/08 9.30 am - 10.59 and 27/12/08 8.45 am to 10.14 am.

16/09/08  A photo of Davy and article appeared in several of the UK tabloids today (including The Mirror and The Daily Mail - see www.dailymail.co.uk and search for 'Davy Jones' for the photo and article ).  Unfortunately it's not a flattering photo (or article, typical of the British press), the photo must have been taken from a bad angle!  However, as they say 'all publicity is good publicity'.

Davy is currently filming his biography for the A&E Biography Channel in the US - Abby Alterio from Davy Devotees is taking part.  Hopefully it will also be shown in the UK on the Biography Channel.
